With too many things going on in life and in a mindset that we have to expedite the pace at which we live it , we often rush and not live the moments. Nothing is too short or too long , it is just unpredictable - so is life. What you have at your hand is just your current moment or a present day. This world with is astonishing marketing strategies , commercials and a lot preaching has made us all believe that life is a race and we constantly have to run to keep up with the speed that it spins and flips. I was taken a back when I realized , that with all this rush and a race ground , I have sometimes forgot that nobody sets rules of how you should live , what you should wear, how you should look like , what your social status should be & much more. I am now , just about living life unparalled. In the past one and half year I have slowed down a lot. Does things that only brought joy and enlightenment to my body and soul. Below are the 5 steps that will help you live your life slowly , simply and in a soul satisfying manner. 1. Wake up with a smile on your face..... Yes , just like your morning mediation , workouts , breakfast and coffee , your smile , immediately after you are ready to wake up should be a part of your daily routine. Stop chasing the world by mindlessly scrolling through your Instagram or Facebook feed right after you open your eyes. This will make a world of difference in how you can start your day without sheer intimidation and influence. Your brain functions in the direction you drive it right from your morning , do not feed it with junk. Do not wake up with an agenda , wake up with a smile , get your body and mind prepared for the day in a blank canvas and slowly plan your food , work/tasks/chores, take a break in between but do not procrastinate. 2. Read something for 30 minutes a day with undivided attention... Reading is a form of training your brain , to make it accustomed to difference of phases and improve the power of your subconscious mind. People who read 30 minutes a day are proved to better connect with this world in various dimensions and proved to be more empathetic with themselves and others. Reading also minimizes your brain decline that happens as you age, studies also show that it actually decreases the chances of diseases such as Alzheimers by 2.5 times. 3. Explore even the simplest of places... We are made to live on earth , but not just inside a box. Try going out just for a jog or a brisk walk or even to a park to spend sometime outdoors , you brain when fed with a change of atmosphere feels very different , do not keep it static. I made it a routine to just explore minutest of places around me , but since the pandemic happened I have explored more of nature , woods , ponds , landscapes at different times of the day. I would just sit there for sometime like a meditative experience. 4. Co-exist , But do not become a slave of the race... We are just co-existing with other beings , but we should have our own way to taking the pill of life with ease and contentment. Do not do something just because you are obligated to do , do not go to a party just because you are called and if you cannot enjoy the time with your whole heart, do not buy something to keep up with the societal pressure of proving equal social status , do not prove a point to anybody as it not worth your time or energy , do not criticize others for their choices for it is solely an individual's decision and to top it all do not judge anyone's way of living. These things are for you to slow down and bring it all to live your life mindfully , peacefully and slowly. Disconnect with the world as and when needed and spend time with yourselves. 5. Implore self.... Human body and human mind are considered a very mysterious energy , you can mould it the way you want , concentrating on yourself independent of external parameters. As much as explore the outside world , take time to implore your inner self. Remind yourself of what brings you the true happiness , I meant the happiness you alone can experience , without any possessions. Your experiences are what makes you a fuller person , when your mind reacts to a natural process of feeling abundant with nothing materialistic is the best kind of experience. Always watch your inner self , how your inner self is reacting to a particular event and then implement your true feelings about it. Even though this blogpost is a little bit of deep dive , these steps certainly helped me with the way I live my life now without any regrets and with much more enthusiasm to learn more about what I truly want - All that I want is live my life in every tiniest moment possible.
Hope this blogpost is little bit of help to calm your mind and understand that nothing matters other than the way you live your life with soul and body completely hugging each other. Until Next Time The Chic Iconic...

Home should be the place that you always want go back and think less about. Home should be place that resides in your heart with greater purpose of living meaningfully. All things beautiful happen inside it , therefore it should have a soul. Ever since I have embarked on the journey of minimalism my life has become more content and even more purposeful with intention. In this blogpost , I would like to giveaway few tips as to why minimalism is the new normal and how it has changed me as a person. 1. Minimal Furniture... A home with minimal and functional furniture is zen in many ways. For example , the living room where you spend lots of your personal time or family time should have minimal furniture. Avoid creating unnecessary surfaces by adding additional accents like console tables , side tables or standing lamps just for the sake of decor, instead keep anything that is absolutely functional and purposeful. For example , have an additional table if you have a space that walks into two geometric spaces like a kitchen and living area to use it as an additional rest over spot for your drinks or munching. Less number of surfaces lead to less or no clutter. 2. Accent Decor... A home with no accents at all may be little boring even if you are a minimalist. Choose your accent decor very wisely to make your home look more spacious , For example create a light reflecting aesthetic by adding mirrors , glassware , white vases etc. I went for a very transparent pendant lights , linear chandelier and for art I have chosen line art and typography art to match my minimalistic aesthetic. It depends upon your taste in art , you can always go for abstract art , minimal sculptures etc. But again going overboard with accent decor will simply distract your idea from a minimal home. 3. Quality Over Quantity... Instead of having lots and lots of stuff in the form of decor , A minimalist would chose few pieces that he/she loves and uses often. Keep it versatile , so that you can move these pieces around whenever you find the set up boring. Traditional Japanese style homes are the best examples for a minimal home. The spread here is more important when it comes to a minimal home and a minimal spread is possible with less quantity and more quality. The geometry of the house and the way it is arranged also speaks a lot for minimalist aesthetic. 4. Plain Patterns and Subdued Colors.... When it comes to Keeping the minimal aesthetic - patterns , textures and colors matter the most. One clumsy texture of a carpet could takeaway the minimalistic aura from your home. One wrong choice of color could make adrift from the calm that it holds for the entire space. Choose them wisely , I have chosen Scandinavian color theme for my home , which is a mixture a neutral color pattern and a little pop of color but not too much of one color pop that is spread across. Otherwise it would add a color block to every space in your home. 5. Go Natural With An Indoor Outdoor Aesthetic....
If you are a nature person , add more life into your home with live plants. It is an extremely meditating experience to coexist with nature inside your house. You may not have that experience with anything that is not breathing. You grow along with them and it is an abundance of experience living meaningfully & breathing freshness all the time. Even though it is a little bit of work and attention to these house plants it is worth for many reasons like constant air purification naturally inside your home. If possible go sustainable with everything you keep or use , avoid plastic as much as you can. I have chosen everything that is naturally perishable without polluting my home or the environment around me as much as possible. And Finally I would like to add few words, Minimalism is a spectrum and it could mean different things to different people. This is just my idea of a minimal and sustainable home where me and my family can nest with peace , love , intention and simplicity. I hope this blogpost can serve the purpose if you are looking to start your journey as a minimalist and have more time for greater things that your mind can streamline to achieve. Write back to me in the comments if you liked my idea of Minimal Home interiors. Until Next Blogpost... The Chic Iconic 5 Tips to Work On Compatibility Issues.......(with friends , Business Partner Life Partner etc5/13/2020 No two people in this world are made the same and expecting the other person to think alike and reciprocate smoothly is a very tricky dream to achieve. But coexisting and mutually trying to resolve the compatibility issues is something we can do , with some insights into trying to understand the perspective where the issue has arised for the other person. Easy said than done , but trust me it took time for me understand that it is achievable and you can stay less affected by some of these which will sound pretty trivial after a couple of years. So in this blogpost let me tell you 5 simple tips to resolve the conflict or compatibility issues with anyone in your life. Apply it to to your friend or partner or a room mate at a very broad perspective. 1. Do not lose your calm... The very problem is we just lose calm whenever we hit a block of immediately unsolvable issues with our friends , colleagues , partners etc. But for a change try this , whenever you feel like the words/actions of others hit the wrong chord in your brain , shut that surging reaction that travels at a speed for light through your nerves and intercepts into words. Instead try to stay calm at the very moment and listen to what other person is saying , process that. The instant rage would worsen and leave no scope for a conscious communication. Or you can just leave the scene , take time and talk later. Sometimes this helps to reconcile with your own internal fight and come out balanced. 2. Do Not Negate Other Person's Perspective.. Just like you have your own side of the story , the other person also has his own justification to it. Rather than trying to pass a judgement about what is right and what is wrong , think about the perspectives. It is definitely not easy to step into other person's shoes and think , but when you do even for a short span you will find a piece of resentment that you might be applying from your side. 3. Compatibility Is Not a Baseline Requirement... Compatibility is overrated , in a way that most of us make it the very own purpose and foundation of a relationship. No , compatibility is not a baseline requirement , instead love , respect for each others choices , empathy , care and conscious reciprocation is. You need to understand you both operate differently , you are wired differently. You cannot just ask the other person to change some things about themselves just because you want him/her to be relatively proportional to you. Respect each others personalities for their uniqueness , then jump on to a group activity about figuring out each others likes and dislikes. Reverse engineer your reciprocation to these likes and dislikes. Find a common ground. 4. Do Not React If It Is Not Necessary.. Not everything is your problem and you do not have to react unless it has effected you so much. We try to judge and pick up on so many things and worry too much about how the other person is not compatible just because he/she does things differently. Have you ever thought about this?. Staying unaffected by unnecessary and trivial things in life will keep both of you happy. There need not be so many things in common between two people , you will definitely find a few which should be enough. Learn to coexist with the uncommon things as well. Otherwise life is going to be very boring. 5. Communicate Your Expectations.... You have to express in pure words about what you are expecting or feeling at a particular point of time. Do not expect that the other person has some magical powers to interpret what you might be feeling without you saying it. The greatest advantage human beings have is that they can express in words. You have to be expressive even if you are an introvert . Do not raise your voice when doing so , express what you feel like how you feel. If your partner gets a hold of your feelings , the its a cake walk. You need to leave some lee way for the other person to understand and get used your expectations. So that is all for this blogpost guys. I hope this is helpful in some way. These are some personal insights I have put together , but ofcourse everyone has their own way of tackling these issues.
Hope you enjoyed reading this blogpost. Until next Blog Post.. XoXo, The Chic Iconic.. No matter who you are , what you do , we all lose motivation on and off sometimes. We feel so vulnerable and exhausted to move our feet and not feel like doing anything. Especially with the current quarantine routine there is sometimes fatigue and working from home may be firing some procrastination at times. Even most successful and highly effective people go through low motivation days , which is called the 'down' time. But yet they gather themselves up and recharge to work towards their goals. Today let us see how in our best of the abilities can we help ourselves to feel charged on a low motivation day at home or at work. 1. Remember - There is no need to rush. Every time you feel like there is so much to do yet you do not have enough motivation to get it done in time , you should not rush. It is like speeding on an empty fuel tank , it will get you no where. Stop for a moment and remember you do not have to rush. Sometimes the speed does not matter , your poise does. 2. Start Small & Take Breaks. You have 24 hours in a day , except when you sleep , the time is all yours and all you need to remember is there is time and there is only enough time. You can divide your work into very minute steps , set a timer for 10 minutes and strictly finish that step in 10 minutes. Take a break for 20 minutes , get back and finish another in 10. Make this a routine until your task is completely done. The fact that you have to work only for 10 minutes itself is a motivation and you will start to increase your pace slowly , and finish large chunks of work. By the end of it , you will only remember how less is left and you will finish up faster , because you have already started to feel content about the amount of work finished. It is just a mind game. 3. If your task is overwhelming.. Sometimes the task might seem overwhelming and cease your brain from functioning or taking any action. This is like an emotional paralysis where one feels like he/she cannot get through or cope up with the circumstances. Some people say "Start some where". If you ask me that is one of the worst advises. Try to do a virtual autopsy of your task/goal. Identify its parts, its legs , hands , feet , brain and heart. Identify your first chunk to start with , that chunk which will help you smoothly navigate through the rest of the parts. Idealize a strict timeline , but first concentrate only on getting one thing at a time done. 4. Disbelief in Yourselves... During this low motivation or down time , you might get into a certain disbelief with yourselves. Whenever you feel like you cannot get through or finish a particular task or thing , remind yourselves of the history about how many times you said this to yourself and yet excelled in finishing up the task in time. This will dissolve your apprehension about any self worth and your capability. At the end of the day you can do it , given you want to do it. 5. Fear that is holding you back... And there will be times where it is just your fear that you cannot accomplish a certain thing/task must be holding you back and deep down you are afraid to fail or embarrass yourself. Always remember - only if you try you will either fail or succeed and there will be a closure. You will inevitably fail if you do not try. If you are afraid of something , do it first and get done with it. That is the best way to beat the fear. If you guys ever had a low motivation day , hope today's blog-post is helpful in someway to boost up your motivation.... I will see you guys with another blog-post soon.
Until then, The Chic Iconic How are you all keeping up with the current social distancing /self - quarantine situation?. For most of you might be working from home and finding it difficult to achieve the productivity , I use to struggle to manage my time appropriately and categorize for everything in a daily routine and streamline all my things. But I had to build a step by step routine to achieve the best I could do in a day and not just zone out or get carried away leading to an unproductive in-turn an unsatisfying day. Here are the 5 simple steps I follow and I hope it will help you guys. 1. Wake Up like you Show Up. I wake up early in the morning even if I have to work from home like I have to show up at work. I finish my quick meditation and yoga 🧘♀️ in the morning and take bath. Dress up (Certain clothes can actually help us shift gears or mindsets or even help us prepare for certain activities. ) , eat my breakfast and start my day by checking my emails and the meeting notifications for the day , so that I can plan on finishing any action items I have in my plate for the day. 2.Set the Ambiance . Don’t keep it so cozy as if you are ready to doze off again or slip into your sheets. Make the ambiance right to work for the whole day. For me its the day light , lots of light that keeps me fresh and alive. I open up all the curtains and blinds to let the light in and make my space feel woken up. I never feel lazy around , when I do that and start working. 3. Take Breaks as needed. Don’t just sit there all day. Plan on getting a standing desk or just figure out a way to stand and work. I stand most of the time on the breakfast counter and work on my laptop. I take a walk on my deck for strict 10 minutes to get some fresh air every two hours. It just makes me feel like I am not stuck in the day. I keep a count on the number of steps and flights in my apple watch that I used to have on a regular work day when I commute , I make sure I achieve them all. 4. Plan Your Meals like You do for a regular work day. Do not plan to cook your lunch or dinner right in the middle of your work schedule , plan you meals beforehand , may be the night before. This will help you keep up with your consistency through out the day and not get distracted , Since cooking is definitely time consuming. 5. Set Boundaries and Log Off. One of the most important aspects of a healthy work-from-home routine is creating boundaries. Log off for the day—and not just from your laptop. Consider developing a phrase you say to yourself at the end of the day, to signal your mind that it’s time to stop thinking about work. Have a last-minute idea come up after office hours? Jot it down, but come back to it tomorrow. Just because you have access to work anytime doesn’t mean you should be logged in 24/7. Allow yourself to have downtime to create a work-life balance—we all need it, no matter where we are working. I always like your comments and insights on my blog posts. Keep posting them , I would love to hear back from you guys. Until the next blog post................
XoXo The Chic Iconic Sometimes we are in such a fast paced lifestyle that we often do not get time to plan special surprises for our partner. It is definitely not easy to latch yourself to mind blowing surprise plans all the time and I feel it is enervating not all the time but at least when you are struck with work and too many other things. So here are 5 unique and quick ways to celebrate your valentine's day. 1. Book a Table at a nearby restaurant for Two : This is very cliche and may sound not different at all , but in the pursuit of making it too special with limited time we might miss out the fact that simple things are sometimes the happiest and memorable ones. So , get on to yelp and find a fancy romantic restaurant , book a table , along with which pop a Champagne , have good food , nice little chat and pour your heart on him. 2. An open air Movie plan : This is something that we only get to see in movies , but that is not true. These things happen in real life too. Google if you have any open air movie events near by where you can sit in your car ( or just jump on a grass with a throw if its warm enough) , with some food and non alcoholic beverages (coz you have to drive back home safe). Enjoy the experience of watching a movie under the sky and stars. 3.Recreate your first date : Remember why and how you fell in love with each other. Recreate the whole scene within the surroundings , get him a nice shirt and slip into a similar dress in which he first saw you or remembers the most. These do refresh your memories breaking all the fatigue or routines that we might have got used to and you can breathe in fresh love and warmth from your partner. 4. Special Candle light dinner at home : Nothing can beat the special home cooked meal & dessert experience of course with special ambiance and some candle light. This is one of my favorite ways to surprise mine. It comes in handy when you really do not want to go anywhere but still do not want to miss that surprise element of celebration in love. Gather some scented candles , tea lights and a special dessert recipe for the celebration. 5. Get a Room: What I mean is - Yes , when celebrating at home feels boring and cliche , you should browse for nice local resorts with special amenities and book for yourselves (especially if you do not want to drive long). When the atmosphere changes , everything changes , it lightens up stress and affects your thought process, brings you closer to him/her by breaking the everyday cycle of work pressures and more. It is often much required to take a break from the routine. Of course , I have not spoken about Valentine's day gifts. But for me it is all about the experience , mindfulness and peace. You can always give each something that you want to , but primarily making each other feel special and loved is what is predominantly important on this special day of celebrating love.
Hope you guys like today’s post. I will be back with another beautiful and useful post/content soon. Till then enjoy reading “The Chic Iconic”. At some point we all feel that it is high time we change the bad habits or habits that no longer align with the direction of our progress and betterment. But habits do not change overnight. For us to work on it we need to have a shift in “Mindset”. We all have different mindsets , some of us have a growth mindset on intelligence and fixed mindset on personality or vice versa. Mindset is nothing but a powerful belief that is formed in your mind and like your change your mind on small things like cancelling your plan to go out and rest instead , you can always change your mind on some essential patterns that you follow daily for a positive and highly energetic soul building. 1. No Phone Morning Mindset... You brain is a circuit of thoughts , it registers the first thing you see in the morning and connects the dots all day. The mood you carry for the first half-hour after you wake up energizes or dooms your day at different levels. It reflects so much in everything you do. So make sure your precious first hour is at heartsease. My personal experience of not looking at my phone at least an hour after I wake up has brought me phenomenal personality changes. I have shifted my mindset to not look at my phone in the morning and believe me that is one of the best decisions I have ever taken towards a digital detox and digital minimalism. 2.Embrace Your Body Mindset. You are not flawed. Own your magic. Study the science of your body and take full control of very fiber that you are made up of. You are perceived in “n number of different ways to n number of people around”.It is not necessary that your negative perception about your own body is also how others perceive you. Do not set standards for yourself by comparing yourself to others. But you should definitely work towards gaining better strength and health by recharging your body , give your body what it needs and take away what it does not. Have you ever seen the most powerful and impactful people in history ever showed an insecurity about their looks and have your heard anyone talking about their body instead of their achievements? That is because these powerful people own their magic , embrace their body and trust they are not flawed but are made unique to look a certain way and thats perfectly alright. Always remember "confidence" is your best ootd (Outfit Of The Day) and "smile" is your best make up. 3. Tomorrow is unpredictable Mindset. Nobody in the world can ever predict what will happen tomorrow. It might sound pretty cliche when we say “live in the moment” or ‘live everyday like it is your last day”. But have you ever got to a point where I have wasted so many years worrying about things that are immaterial to me right now or delayed working on something that you wanted to , just because you have 3 to 4 more decades of life in hand?. We always count the days to come , but fail to see the days that are gone and will never come back. Instilling an attitude of doing 3 things everyday that you want to do and doing it right away without excuses will increase your will power , adjust your level of procrastination , feed your brain with contentment. Because you never know about tomorrow , if you want to do it , at least leap from "thoughts" to small set of "actions" right today. 4. Friendships Vs Expectations Mindset. We all have friends , some just friends , some good friends and some best friends. We have different expectations from different set of friends. If you expect the same from all three sets you will end up getting disappointed. And especially when you expect things in silence and wait for the magic to happen. You have to voice out expectations and draw a fine line. With best friends, we always want may be a little less than equal reciprocation and we definitely get disappointed if that does not happen , You can voice out your opinion and hurt to your best friend. It is definitely different when you have some extreme expectations , you will have to introspect if you are asking for too much. For some friends , the reciprocation is not too important and it should not be for you as well. We all come from different backgrounds and surroundings , so somebody will do something only if they want to do , not just because you want them to do. So shift your mindset to "let me do my thing and let others do their thing" , but help each other when required. When you keep it light you will never go into an un-enchanted mode of disappointment. 5. Flip the Script Mindset. Filtering Thoughts : You magnify the negative aspects of a situation and filter out all of the positive ones. Instead flip it and just see only the positive aspects. Personalizing: When something around you is unpleasant or something bad happens, you make it about yourself. Instead flip the thought and say it to yourself that not everything in this world is about you and happens only to you. Catastrophizing: You automatically anticipate the worst. When you think about the worst that is going to happen all the time , You will attach every disappointing element to that thought and intensify your mood. Instead flip that thought and think about the best you can get out of any worst situation. Outfit by : Pastels and Pink.
Here is the First post of 2020. I will be pushing on more useful , mindful, inspirational , motivational and personality development content to the blog. I appreciate all those who read my blogs and write back to me. I just cannot thank enough for this support and my digitally growing family. For me this blog is more important than any other social media pages I own. I hope you guys will like today’s blog post. Below are the “ 5 Things To Leave Behind In 2020”. 1. Use of Plastic The World is changing , one part of the world is working very hard to raise the globe temperatures, to multiply the forest fires and contaminate the ocean life. The other part is working towards a clean , non toxic and non life threatening practices to avoid using non biodegradable materials like plastic trying to balance and cool down the blazing global warming that can soon turn half of the planet to debris. Choose your side , Choose your future , Choose your future generations prosperity, Stop using plastic as much as you can. If you stop using it , they will stop making it. 2. Extreme Consumerism Every day, each of us is bombarded with around 1,600 commercial messages. Most of them are extremely manipulative , they make us believe and build a perspective over a product that we may not actually need , but are attracted to its presentation. Adopt conscious consumerism , accept the difference between need and want. Buy only those things that need at the moment or in the near future. 3. Not Practicing Mindfulness But first , what is mindfulness ? . It is our ability to be fully present in the moment , with the person we are talking to , feeling the magical sounds of everyday chores , when your feet touches the ground every time it is important to reach to the magical bond of earthing , sensing your own deep breathes , listening to a conversation with an undivided attention , feeling your fingers when your typing on a laptop etc. All these things are minute , but makes a lot of difference in your overall personality , It creates an aura around yourself. That makes a unique difference and brings you closer to the universe. Practice mindfulness everyday. 4. Not Shutting Down Yes , not shutting down habits that are not contributing to any betterment or progress , not shutting down self doubt , not shutting down negative thoughts , not shutting down useless criticism and judgements , not shutting down procrastination and not shutting down toxicity ( be it in you or be it in others).Step up to change these things and do a complete shutdown to reset and restart on a fresh note. 5. Taking Social Media Too Seriously. Any platform is created to connect , socialize , network , share knowledge , inspire , learn , create and have fun. But definitely not to set standards or rules about how your life should be , not to compare , not to rage each other , not to abuse privacy , not to overwhelm , not to overuse , not to invite unsafe situations. Have you ever landed in a situation where you love some quotes , but afraid to share them because somebody might relate to it and make a fuss in their mind that it could be about them. Such is an impact at a personal level. I myself took a step back sometimes , just to make sure I am not hurting anybody. But , we all have to stop taking social media personally. If it is a mere fun , have fun. If it is business , promote and reach audiences. If it is art , create more coz the world needs it. If it is for inspiring self and others , work more towards inspiring and lighting up more mindsets. Thank you so much for reading. I will see you guys in the next blog post soon. Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous New Year.!
I don't know how to start , I have taken a break from writing for few months now. I took this time to process myself , the changes , the monotony and the thrive for substantial content on this blog. Please come back here to read me always and point me the direction to write the life down in words . 1. Find Your Bulls Eye: Let me break this down to you by exemplifying an incident in The Mahabharat. Arjuna was the most favorite all the students for Dronacharya when teaching the art of warfare, for when he was asked what can he see on the tree where Dronacharya placed a wooden bird to put his subjects at test , the rest had very trivial answers like a wooden bird , the tree and its branches. But Arjuna replied that he could only see the “eye of the bird”. this story gives perspective as to why Dronacharya thought there was no warrior quite like Arjuna. This reply is reflective of his abilities to streamline all his focus towards the goal. Do not fail to separate your distractions from your goal on your path to achieving it. Know your targets and concentrate only on achieving it by putting your chaos that are pretty obvious aside. 2. Identify What You Want For Yourself. By the time you are 30 not knowing what you want is a dangerous place to be. We need to know where to go to prepare ourselves to learn how to go. Identify what it is that you want at every step of your life. Sacrificing yourself to please others and stay in good books never works out. It will drain you over a period of time and will cost you your Mental Health and Peace. Say goodbye to limiting beliefs about life for it is limitless and you can get so much out of it. 3. Living The Moment. Time is something you cannot reverse. The time that you might have spent regretting your past and the time you might have spent worrying about your future could be the most valuable time that you might have missed in that moment. The past and future cannot be controlled , but your present is something you can live the way you want right at the moment. Be present in the moment and live intentionally , observe small sounds , smells and sights around you. Stay content every moment , your brain releases happy hormones - endorphins, dopamine and serotonin whilst enjoying the small moments of happiness. 4. Stand Up For Yourself. Nobody other than you can come to your rescue immediately when something affects you. You have to stand up for yourself just like you stand up for your friends or family in the need of the hour. Always think with both heart and mind. Your heart holds you emotional side whereas your brain balances you intellectual side. If you know you are being drained , taken advantage of , bullied , deceived or being hurt stand up for yourself and close the doors to any such activity. Standing up for yourself always does not mean you should react adversely to the situation or people , take adverse actions and reciprocate the same malicious behavior to the counterpart. Instead walk away , draw your lines , limit access unless you're physically or mentally harassed for which you actions can be stringent. 5. Do Not Fear Rejections. Rejections are not failures. Rejections are not the result. Rejections are not the end of opportunities. Absorb rejections in every aspect of life and walk past. New doors open up , you will meet new people , you will come across new opportunities. Do not take rejections emotionally. 6. Stop Pretending To Be Someone else. You must choose to stand out rather than fitting in. Do not pretend to be someone else to please the crowd. The real you is something your are made up of that makes you unique and desirable. Do not lose yourself in the pursuit of making others happy and getting a validation that might not last long, Coz the impressions crack and opinions change. Let them be based on your true , original and irresistible personality. 7. Take Care Of Your Health. In your late 20’s you are least bothered about some deficiencies that you body is carrying quite for some time. But when the reality hits , it hits harder. The effect one one issue in your body could carry on to others and can lead to unsolvable complications. Realize this fact at very early stages and do not brush of any long lasting health issues. Coz Health may not specifically be Wealth but it sure has a key role in the smooth functioning of your life. 8. Reset Your Goals. If you no longer connect with ‘why’ you are doing what you are doing, It is time to reset your goals. For example , when I started this blog I wanted to write only about fashion and affordable choices just like my counterparts at that time. But as my journey progressed I have identified myself with a multitude of substantial writing about life , positivity , goals , success , motivation , mental health , personality development and Minimalism. In particular, I have flipped my blog completely into a lifestyle blog, which I thoroughly enjoy writing now. I have reset my goals. And if you think it's probably time to reset yours , please do. 9. Stay Close to numbers. By that I mean by now you should have learnt to balance your financial goals , be very good with what numbers are coming in and what numbers are going out - Your earnings and Your Spendings. Set a goal to retire early in your life. If your mathematics is on the tip of the tongue at every step , you will fare well in your finances. Discuss with your partner , sketch out a monthly expenditure journal. Wealth is not how much you spend , It is how your grow , find a purpose, strike a balance and find your ground. 10. Be Unapologetically You.
If you are a people pleaser , it is probably time you shed off that personality and stop pleasing others , rather work on your identity that you might have buried deep inside. If you have insecurities , it is probably time you let them go. You cannot take control of a situation you can only control your reaction. Stop comparing yourself with others, we are made to be unique , not to be like each other. Stop making it all about yourself. This very thought of what others think about you will never let you live your life the way you want to. It is a busy world and everyone is probably dealing with their own battles. Live your life and let others live theirs. Avoid small talk. Build your surrounds , attract the ones with similar personalities , discuss ideas not people , work on projects together , pat each others back , be a person to whom they can come back to and lend a shoulder , avoid any negative talk and do not judge a person , instead judge the situation. Empathize but do not let anything over power you. Just as the title of this post , I would like to reintroduce myself. It is June month and it has been 5 years I have started blogging. I must say , this is the one of the best decisions I took. But due course there are lots of things and perspectives that have changed. I have changed , habits have changed , endurance has changed and energy has changed. Everything has changed in the right direction striking the balance in my life. Below few points will tell you why I have started blogging and what has changed?.... 1. Why I have started blogging? I have started blogging to pen down my ideas and opinions about fashion , travel and lifestyle. I wanted to create a journal of experimental and accessible fashion . Add my own perspective to fashion and personal style. And a track of lifestyle traits and a travel diary. 2. What Has Changed? My perspective about fashion and lifestyle has changed. My sole purpose of blogging has changed. I wanted to create a space that could address the day -to -day concerns and lifestyle management. I have started to become a conscious consumer of fashion and other goods. And I have practiced time management only to put my best into this blog and provide quality content to my readers talking about more real world problems than fashion and lifestyle perks. 3. Minimalism and Aesthetics. Whenever I post a picture , I make sure it tells a story. I believe when you watch a picture it works like a therapy. I made sure pictures are totally not just about my face or a perfect outfit or accessories , but about the essence of the surroundings , the weather and the mood of the picture. I try to create mood grams on my Instagram to create a personal aesthetic. This has given me an art perspective. Minimalism has become an essential part of me now. I have started to curate my life with what adds value to my life and discard what is causing the exertion or parts of my life and things that do not serve a purpose or add a value. I started to simplify my house , my blog , my closet and my life. 4. Personal Style. My personal style has evolved a lot , ever since I started to feel comfortable in my own skin , I have started to listen to my own body. I completely shut down other's perspectives or opinions on how I look or what i should do to look more beautiful , how to look tall and how to make my eyes look big. These are the opinions of people , not mine. I have embraced myself with all the power , confidence and love. I do not have to wear anything uncomfortable to look tall. I do not have to hoard a lot of eye make up to make my eyes look big. Instead I want to look like myself , hence I have embraced a natural and less chemical makeup routine and natural eye make up ( sometimes I skip eye makeup all together). This me is the real me and I feel rewarded to have found the right balance in the world of superficiality and not get carried away. 5. I am not here to influence ( I am not an influencer). Somewhere in between the journey of calling myself fashion influencer , I felt this word is so intimidating. I would not want to influence anybody. I want to create a stream that can help people learn , adapt and take advantage of. Above all , not just get influenced by what I write but to have their own voice and word for everything. Things do not work the same for everybody , we all pick up bits and pieces from everywhere and build our life. I only wanted to be that small bits and pieces. Thanks a lot dear all those who are a part of my 5 years of blogging Journey. I grew a lot and I have learnt a lot and got more wiser and balanced in life. I am grateful for all the response I got. I hope you guys enjoyed today's blogpost.
