Winters are here and our skin is prone to extreme changes. Dryness, irritation, Redness, Frost bites due to snow etc. I have been experiencing extreme cold winters and minus temperatures here in Virginia. So its time to up my winter skin care game. I have associated with "Himalaya Winter Care" to bring their winter products that helped me keep my skin healthy for ages to you guys. You guys might have heard the term herbal from you moms and grand moms , I so got used to them and my skin feels secure with these products . Thanks to Himalaya for bringing us with more and more herbal products for hair , skin moisturizing and anti-aging. Over years they have won trust and most Asian women feel secure with Himalaya Herbal products. Below are the 5 Tips for winter skin care routine that will help you keep your skin safe in winters.
1. Wash your skin with Luke warm water: Hot showers are everybody's favorite in winters. But washing off your face and body with extreme hot water may strip off essential oils and lead to extreme dryness. Instead use luke warm water to wash and protect your skin from losing elasticity. 2. Moisturize Immediately: Your skin needs to be moisturized within 2 or 3 minutes of shower. Moisturizing damp skin helps to seal the dampness and keeps it moisturized. Always keep your face and body moisturizers in the shower racks and on top of the sink. Very important tip is that your neck is as important as your face and you need to moisturize neck all time since the skin there is very thin. The Himalaya light and non greasy nourishing skin cream has become my staple face moisturizer. It is a combination of Indian Kino Tree, Aloe Vera and Winter Cherry. Its mild fragrance helps me sooth my skin and mood. 3. Change your moisturizers for Winters: Most of the moisturizers contain petroleum products which might lead to more dryness in winters. Make sure you do not choose products with the petroleum ingredients. Cocoa butter keeps your skin moisturized in winters. The Himalaya Cocoa Butter Intense body lotion is what I would suggest if you love herbal products. 4. Lip care in Winters : I often keep switching my lip cares , but I stick to coconut oil in the nights to keep my lips moisturized. I always carry aquaphor when I travel to cold places. But when I am on the run in day to day life or in a hurry for meetings I never forget my Himalaya Strawberry Shine Lip moisturizer with semi tint. 5. Hydrate your body very often: Not only moisturizing the body from outside but also moisturizing from within is also very important. We often tend to drink less water in winters and switch to hot drinks. But its important to have lots of water to cleanse your body from any toxins that can instigate allergies. A glass of luke warm water with lemon and honey is a superb work around for hydration. I hope you guys are having a wonderful 2018 though its chilling outside.
